Frequently asked questions
What is HeyDeer?
HeyDeer is an AI code review agent for GitHub. It reviews every pull request against your whole repository, verifies each finding against the code before posting it, fixes the findings you choose, and with Autopilot keeps going until the pull request is ready to merge.
Which Git platforms does HeyDeer support?
HeyDeer works with GitHub, for organizations and personal accounts. It installs as a GitHub App, and you can give it access to all repositories or only the ones you select.
How is HeyDeer different from other AI code reviewers?
Precision. HeyDeer has the highest precision on ReviewBench, GitHub’s open benchmark for AI code review, at 99.0%. On 16 pull requests written by coding agents, it found 78% more real issues than GitHub Copilot code review with the same number of false positives. And it charges no seat fees.
How much does HeyDeer cost?
The Free plan includes 1,000 credits in the first month and 300 each month after, with no credit card. Starter is $9 a month for 2,500 credits and Pro is $39 a month for 12,000. Every plan includes unlimited developers and repositories.
Does HeyDeer store my code or train on it?
No. Every review and fix works on a temporary clone that’s discarded when the work ends, and HeyDeer never uses your code, instructions or review results to train AI models.
How long does setup take?
Install the GitHub App and choose your repositories. HeyDeer reviews against the whole repository from the first pull request, so there’s nothing to configure before you start. Add rules later for the gaps your first reviews show.
