1. Who these terms apply to
These terms govern your use of HeyDeer, the AI code review service operated by ETOILEE PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore. By using HeyDeer, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you must have authority to accept them on its behalf. “You” then means that organisation.

2. The service and your account
HeyDeer reviews GitHub pull requests, applies configured instructions and repository checks, and presents findings in your workspace or on GitHub. Features, supported integrations, review limits and charges are described in the product and on our pricing page.
You are responsible for the repositories you authorise, your workspace members, connected services and credentials, and the actions taken through your account. Only submit content you have the right to process through the service. Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
AI reviews can miss problems or produce incorrect findings. Evaluate suggestions, run appropriate tests and use human judgement before merging or deploying. A completed review is not a guarantee that code is correct, secure or compliant.
3. Your code and review content
You retain your rights in your source code, instructions and other content you provide. As between you and HeyDeer, you may use the review output for your own purposes. AI output may not be unique, and third-party rights may still apply.
You give us permission to access, copy and process your content only as needed to provide and maintain the service, carry out your instructions and meet applicable legal obligations. This includes using infrastructure and model providers to perform reviews and publishing comments when you request or enable that behaviour.
HeyDeer does not use your source code, review instructions or review results to train its own AI models. Repository clones are processed in temporary, non-persistent review environments. We retain review results and history separately so you can return to them. Results, saved instructions and repository-check snapshots can contain code excerpts or other repository-derived content.
Our model-provider accounts have Zero Data Retention (ZDR) enabled for review requests. This applies to review inputs and outputs handled by those providers, not to workspace records stored by HeyDeer or optional integrations. Our Privacy Policy and Security page explain these separate data lifecycles.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use HeyDeer to break the law, infringe others’ rights, access repositories without permission, distribute malware, attack other systems or bypass usage limits or access controls. Do not interfere with the service or attempt to obtain another customer’s content or credentials.
You may investigate and report potential security issues in good faith, but must avoid accessing other customers’ data, disrupting the service or publicly exposing secrets. Contact hey@heydeer.ai to coordinate security reports.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
Prices, included credits, trial limits, top-up validity and applicable billing intervals are shown before purchase. Review usage consumes credits as described in the product. Taxes may apply. Payments are handled through our payment provider.
A paid subscription renews unless cancelled before its next renewal. Cancelling stops future renewals; access to the paid plan continues through the current paid period. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself delete your workspace or previously published GitHub comments.
Contact hey@heydeer.ai with billing questions, disputed charges or refund requests. Any refund is subject to the purchase terms and applicable law; these terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights. We will communicate changes to recurring prices before they take effect so you can decide whether to continue.
6. Integrations and availability
GitHub, model providers, payment services and any MCP services you connect have their own terms and policies. You are responsible for selecting and configuring your optional connections. External service changes or outages may affect HeyDeer.
We work to keep the service useful and available, but do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular review outcome or an error-free service. We may update features and will give reasonable notice of material reductions to a paid service where practicable.
7. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using HeyDeer and revoke its GitHub App access at any time. Contact us to request workspace closure or deletion of associated data. The Privacy Policy explains retention and records that may need to remain.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security risk, non-payment or a legal requirement. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to resolve it. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice and information about any affected prepaid service.
8. Responsibility and applicable law
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes a right, warranty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.
These terms are governed by Singapore law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, disputes will be handled by the courts of Singapore.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will publish the updated version and its date, and notify affected users of material changes through the service or an available account contact. Material changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and cancel future renewals.
